    I'm torn.

I've found it very useful for a lot of things. Specifically, the mixed build has been quite handy, able to outspeed and OHKO quite a few pokemon.

That said, it's not fast or bulky enough to survive Koko, and I'm wondering if it's worth sacrificing my Life Orb.

    Greninja (F) @ Life Orb
    Ability: Protean
    Level: 50
    Shiny: Yes
    EVs: 180 Atk / 76 SpA / 252 Spe
    Naive Nature
    - Gunk Shot
    - Scald
    - Grass Knot
    - Rock Slide

This is the build I'm currently running.

180 Atk allows Gunk Shot to OHKO most Tapu's, fairies, Ludicolo, and generally do large amounts of physical damage on single targets.
Scald is my team's answer to certain threats like Mega-Camerupt.
Grass Knot helps deal with annoying rain team members like Swampert and Politoed, though the latter can tank a hit or two, typically.
Greninja can easily outspeed and OHKO pokemon like Volcarona and Charizard Y with Rock Slide.

This thing has been quite useful to me, but with the trouble I'm having balancing my team, I'm wondering if it's worth dropping.

This is Doubles, you want Protect. And if Greninja Scald is your answer to things like Mega Camerupt, not only do you want to reconsider using Greninja, you want to rebuild the entire team. That team is bad.

I've since redone it; It now uses Ice Beam instead of Scald. Honestly, my team is constantly a WIP.

Are you sure about protect? I try not to put it on everything, plus greninja is a glass cannon.

You run Protect on almost every Pokemon, including Glass Cannons such as Tapu Koko and Pheromosa in VGC. You should be putting it on almost everything except a few exceptions such as Cresselia and Porygon2.

I can test out Protect on Greninja; probably replacing Dark Pulse, perhaps. That said, is it worth keeping on my team?
